Giles is a professional drummer and percussionist with drums being his main instrument for session work over the last 5 years. He has played session drums for artists including James Walker, Joe Hicks, Emergency Tiara, and electronic acts; Tilly Valentine and Chinchilla. He was the long time drummer for the collective 'The Science of The Lamps', where he toured over the UK in Liverpool, Warwick, Chester, London, Oxford and Aberdeen. As a drummer, he primarily plays in rock, pop and contemporary genres, but also covers R&B, soul, and EDM. He is known for his very 'musical' playing and ability to pick up set lists very quickly. He is associated with both Studio 91 in Newbury, and Big Smoke Studios in London as one of their in-house session drummers. He has performed a number of sessions in the studio and live in the UK and also internationally in Europe for functions, most notably in Bulgaria.

Giles plays various acoustic percussion including; cajon, bongos, conga and auxiliary percussion. He featured on percussion for a studio session for disco and funk collective 'DUKE and The Dry Cleaners'. He has experience playing acoustic shows on cajon for various artists. 

On the opposite end, he also uses drum samplers and electronic triggers to perform entirely electronic drum sets for artists or stripped back shows. This suits modern EDM and also intimate chilled sets with ambient 808 sounds.

He has an extensive collection of Tama and Zildjian drums and cymbals with Meinl aux percussion. He also has a Roland V-Drum Kit and Roland SPD-SX pad for electronic percussion for gigs, or exclusively electronic sounding drums for noise limited venues. Giles runs Ableton live for playback, has tour standard Cosmic Ears IEMSs and can accommodate live production for original artists or function bands.
